## Devotional: Jesus Is Our Rock

**Scripture Reading:**

“Anyone who listens to my teaching and follows it is wise, like a person who builds a house on solid rock. Though the rain comes in torrents and the floodwaters rise and the winds beat against that house, it won’t collapse because it is built on bedrock.” — Matthew 7:24-25 (NLT)

**Reflection:**

In a world filled with uncertainty and turmoil, we often find ourselves searching for stability and strength. Jesus is our Rock, a firm foundation that provides us with the resilience we need to weather life's storms. When challenges arise, it's easy to feel overwhelmed and consider giving up. However, the promise we have in Christ is that He empowers us to stand strong, reminding us that we are not alone.

His love is not just a fleeting emotion but a deep-rooted assurance that anchors our souls. Just as a tree with deep roots can withstand powerful winds, our faith in Jesus allows us to endure trials and tribulations. We are intricately connected to Him, with His presence dwelling within us. This connection not only strengthens us but also unites us with the Father, creating a bond that is unbreakable.

**Prayer:**

Dear Jesus, thank you for being my Rock and my Salvation. Help me to lean on you in times of trouble and to build my life upon your teachings. May your love settle deep within me, giving me strength and courage to face the storms of life. Remind me that I am never alone, for I am one with you and the Father. Amen.

**Contemplation:**

Take a moment to reflect on the areas of your life where you may feel weak or uncertain. Invite Jesus into those spaces, asking Him to strengthen your faith and help you build on the solid foundation of His love.

**Action Step:**

Identify one practical way to deepen your roots in Christ this week. This could be through prayer, reading Scripture, or engaging in community with fellow believers. Choose to build your life on the Rock, and watch as He transforms your challenges into opportunities for growth.
