Fulfilling our Destiny
This past weekend “On Purpose” launched with its first Mastermind Event. What a joy it was to see the attendees work on their dream boards, participate in small group discussion, and interactive activities. We tackled questions like “Are you wrestling with a career decision, not sure which path to take?” or “Are you wondering which direction the Lord desires you to go?” Throughout the day we each took time to listen to our heart and allow God to reveal the plans and purposes He has designed for us to fulfill at this season of our lives.
Each one of us has a destiny to fulfill, and a purpose for which we were specifically created to do. Without meaning to, many of us are doing some things in life that we were not designed to do. We can do them, but they are not necessarily our true passion and purpose.
Think about the gifts, talents and abilities that come naturally to you. Are you tapped into utilizing all your abilities or are you coasting along and haphazardly utilizing these gifts when you think about it? We can generally do many things, but that doesn’t mean they are the things we should be doing or that God designed us to fulfill. Sometimes we do things because we want to follow the crowd. Sometimes we do things because it needs to be done.
Utilizing your unique purpose, taping into your abilities, talents and dreams is what He wants and needs you to do. You were created for a purpose to fulfill and He desires for you to seek it out and go after it.
Ephesians 2:10 (TPT) reminds us that “We have become his poetry, a re-created people that will fulfill the destiny he has given each of us, for we are joined to Jesus, the Anointed One. Even before we were born, God planned in advance our destiny and the good works we would do to fulfill it!"
Throughout your lifetime, your abilities, talents and dreams will grow along with you. As God directs your steps, He will stretch you into becoming even more of who you’ve always been created to be. So let us get started in discovering the plans He has for us. Let’s embrace this season with passion and purpose.
