With the COVID-19 self-quarantined orders, my husband and I have had a lot more time together. One of our favorite things to do on the weekends, rain, or shine, is take walks. It has been fun each week observing the trees with their blooms and now new leaves, admiring the flowers, and enjoying seeing the wildlife. We live near a beautiful housing community and the architectural designs and pristine yards are impressive to look at as we walk around the block.
One thing you cannot miss are the prevalent signage letting individuals know that the house is armed with a security system.
Just like a house security system, we are armed too, when we make Jesus the Lord of our life. We just need to be activated to be effective.
Ephesians 6:11 says to Put on the full armor of God [for His precepts are like the splendid armor of a heavily-armed soldier], so that you may be able to [successfully] stand up against all the schemes and the strategies and the deceits of the devil.—Ephesians 6:11 AMP.
God supplies the armor and weapons, and He is also working on our behalf to ensure we are victorious. Our enemy, the devil, is unseen (see Ephesians 6:12) so God has made sure we are equipped with spiritual weapons (see 2 Corinthians 10:4-6).
He has given us authority to quench every fiery dart that the enemy sends against us to steal, kill, and destroy (see John 10:10).
We can overcome any obstacle the devil sends our way because we are armed to fight to victory and to come out better and stronger than before we entered the battle. The enemy tries to derail us with his lies to get us off course to what God has created us to do.
God’s Word gives us the instructions needed to stay the course. The battle may seem tireless sometimes, but we have been armed with strength to not give up.
God’s Word promises that…
 We are more than conquerors and gain a surpassing victory through Him. —Romans 8:37
 We have given power to defeat our enemy Satan. Nothing can harm us. —Luke 10:19
ï‚· We overcome and conquer our enemy by the blood of the Lamb and the word of our testimony.
—Revelations 12:1
To top it off, God has given us the Holy Spirit to be our helper, strengthener, and advocate so we are able to fight the good fight of faith. (1 Timothy 6:12) As we yield to the Holy Spirit, pray, and read God’s Word daily, we will be able to enjoy life in all its fullness (John 10:10) and overcome every obstacle that comes against us. We are thoroughly equipped for every good work that God has called us to do!
Every part of Scripture is God-breathed and useful one way or another—showing us truth, exposing our rebellion, correcting our mistakes, training us to live God’s way. Through the Word we are put together and shaped up for the tasks God has for us. — 2 Timothy 3:16-17
God has already gone before us and lined up the right people and the right opportunities. He is ordering our steps and has equipped us with everything we need to fulfill our destiny.
 We are anointed…
 We are empowered…
 We are equipped…
ï‚· We are armed and dangerous in Christ.
